Star Fox OC : Roxy Byrd

Allow me to introduce my Star Fox OC : Roxy Byrd. She is a hawk, but I went for the name "Byrd" because I liked how it sounds and the way it is written. In the fanfiction I am writing, she joins the Star Fox team after the events in Assault, as I don't take Command's storyline into account (too much endings, don't know which one is canon... or if there is even one that is canon, for that matter ). You may recognized in my shitty art that she is holding a sniper rifle, thus making her... a sniper

I have this OC for about 5 years now, considering I got the wii and SSBB in 2009 (I only discovered Star Fox at that moment, shame on me !), and created an OC shortly afterwards. When I had discovered Fox, I originally intended to do a wolf to ship her with Fox, and then I discovered Krystal's trophy, and therefore her relationship with Fox. At that time I had unlocked Falco, so I changed her into a bird. At the beginning she used to be violet, but Command did (kinda) disgust me from the color, as every girl is either dressed in pink or is pink. But her suit remained violet. Well, I was too lazy to search for another color . I chose green, because I like green, there were many pink females, and Krystal is already blue, and I didn't want to make her yellow. No character in the series is green. Black or white were options, but I am happy with the green
I had always considered to do her haircut as a ponytail. Simple and practical. I grew up with the Playstation, making Lara Croft from Tomb Raider my feminine ideal . By the way, she used to look like Lara very much (shorts and double holsters with double guns for double the badass ), but I then tried to be more original. However, her suit's design might change a little. Her hair and tail have a kind of tie-and-dye (I don't know if this expression is used in English, in France it means you dye the tip of your hair another color), because I like it and I wanted more yellow in her design
She has hair, because the first Star Fox female I discovered was Krystal, and Krystal has hair. In my fanfiction I state that her hair is very soft, as it is composed of feathers.
She is a sniper because I have always loved snipers. In my childhood I wanted to be either paratrooper or sniper . She has been part of military, following her father, and was working as a prime hunter before joining Star Fox. She also has some medical knowledge, as her mother worked in a hospital. She is the one with the most medical knowledge in the team, but not has much as a surgeon obviously. She is a bit less soft

Roxy is patient (well, she is a sniper !), determined, mischevious, loyal and a bit sensible with very close people, but also cold, provocative, nonchalant and pragmatic. She has iron nerves but dislikes being the center of attention. She sometimes turns out to be a cold-hearted killer.

I will do a true presentation on the next fanart of Roxy, as this is a bit anarchic
